Web Design Agency

Focusing on an SEO-first approach to deliver great results.

Finding a Web Design Agency can be hard...

But you're in safe hands. We have over 20 years experience in helping clients with web design, empowering teams with content management capabilities and proving ongoing support and training.

Our Web Design Process

Our typical web design project process is defined below:
1

Understand Your Brief

At the beginning of the project we try and understand as much about your business and SEO objectives as possible. This is because we want to create a solution that truly works on all fronts - technically sound, on-brand, great user experience and loaded with SEO features.

2

Explore Competitors

Before we put together any ideas we like to spend some time looking at competitors to uncover SEO strategies, UX features and navigation structures so we can ensure that our solution is on-par with (if not better than) those that are the leaders in your niche.

3

Discuss Ideas

Ultimately our ideas and your own ideas need discussion so that we can determine a definitive list of features for your proposed solution. Just through this simple act of discussion we will normally uncover new ideas too - all of which adds clarity to the project.

4

Propose a Solution

At this point, we're able to propose a solution, choose the best platform and choose a UI kit to suit the project (or choose to build it fully bespoke). Here we can present costs and a payment schedule that you're comfortable with, and if happy, we get started.

5

Approve the Design

Ultimately nothing will go live without your full approval. We'll present sketches, designs, working prototypes and beta versions throughout the project to ensure your expectations are met and you're fully in the loop throughout the whole process.

6

Get It Built

Strangely - this is the easy bit as there is total clarity on what's required and how it's going to look (even though its mostly technical development at this stage). Everything is thoroughly tested and we get the website ready for population.

7

Populate the Content

Content population is a task and artform in itself, and it matters so much to the SEO of the website. We can populate the website for you using data from your suppliers and partners, automate writing parts of content with AI, then write finely tuned content for all key pages.

8

Launch

With the website now complete, we upload the website to your hosting platform or arrange hosting with our chosen partners (we have partnerships with two UK-based hosting companies and have direct 24/7 access to their internal teams).

9

Track and Optimise

Going live is not the end, and our proposal will have already lined-up a whole range of activities to ensure that you get the most from your website as part of a comprehensive digital marketing campaign - using SEO, Social and PPC strategies as required.

Our Continual Development Process

Successful websites don't stand still. They adapt and change to suit customer and business requirements, industry changes and trends.
1

Define Objectives

Whether it's to achieve SEO goals, improve user experience or improve website administration, we list issues, goals and ideas to solve.

2

Outline a Sprint

The objectives are then translated in to a sprint of work to complete, each itemised with its own list of sub-tasks and assigned to the team.

3

Complete the Work

We complete the work, test it, and upload to the live website. These incremental changes are all logged so we can benchmark performance.

4

Monitor Impact

Over the next few weeks (or months in some cases) we monitor the impact of each piece of work against the initial objectives.

5

Make Refinements

Inevitably some elements may need further revisions and tweaks, these could form part of the next sprint or be done separately.

6

Repeat

This process then repeats, often with the same set of objectives but a different list of work. All contributing to a bigger picture over time.

The Software we Use

We love WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, Big Commerce, CodeIgniter, OpenCart, Magento and bespoke solutions. We try not to limit ourselves to any single platform as each solution has nuances that can lend themselves to a particular project’s requirements. For example, a large-budget multi-lingual multi-store site is probably best suited to Magento, but a typical e-commerce store is normally best suited to Shopify or WooCommerce.

Similarly, with content management platforms, our go-to is WordPress, but from time-to-time we may lean on other PHP-based solutions when the requirement is there.

How We Support You

We don’t just build and forget. Our goal is to retain clients over a long duration and help them achieve their digital marketing goals. To do this, we offer a fluid approach and adapt as the website evolves.

For established businesses, we’re often looking to continually one-up the previous website and competitor websites. We then keep it moving in the right direction through SEO and by measuring KPIs along the way.

For new ventures, we often have to find innovative ways to build up organic traffic and can also use PPC to help deliver leads and sales for a period.
